‘Crate’ by Martin Born is the epitome of modularity. Not content to just rest against the wall, Crate can inhabit any space through countless arrangements and iterations. The complimentary color palette also appeals and makes a welcome change from some of the other atrocities available.
This clever coat rack is the result of German designers Genauso.und.anders. The playful circular form conjures up thoughts of the circus and games like the ring toss for me while also presenting a very delicate appearance when pinned off the wall. The adjustability of the design and its sculptural nature when arranged also appeal.
This great storage unit is by recent graduate Bjorn Jorund Blikstad and provides some nice visual distortion for your wall. Apart from the skewed geometry, I particularly like Bjorn’s choice of colours which would pop off any blank wall.
